Voip Phone Calls Getting Applauds From Users
With the introduction of voice over IP, a lot of service providers have emerged to provide VoIP services to the users worldwide. VoIP phone is becoming very common day by day. The users are finding the method simple and effective. The best part about the service is that users find a reasonable platform for making calls at very low call cost.
The users find the billing procedures also very systematic with VoIP. The users can opt for online procedures whereby they can make payments of their bills on a regular basis. The users are regularly updated about their bills by an e-statement provided by the service provider. This e-statement enables users to identify their expenditures and also keep a check on their bills. Moreover, payments can be made online without necessitating for the user to visit their service provider's office directly.
The user-friendliness of the system is what makes people fall in love with the system. It offers a lot of services. These include phone conferencing service, video conferencing, web conferencing and so the technology can also be used for business purposes. Its international calling facility is what has increased the demand of making VoIP call. Then people also get the chance to surf internet and chat with people. It is because internet connection is a pre-requisite for any kind of VoIP connection.
The termination of calls with VoIP phone service, is also very fast. This is because the technology is not dependent on wired networks but is necessarily wireless. This is the reason why it is possible for users to connect from any part of the world. The system converts analogue signals to digital ones that are reconverted to its analogue form once it reaches the end user. The VoIP system is based on this technology and so people get the opportunity to send messages in bulk while also simultaneously making calls to people worldwide.
The advantage of using VoIP has further increased these days. All these days users could make calls from one PC to another PC. But now with the upgradation in technology, it is possible for people to make calls from a PC to a mobile phone or even a traditional phone. Thus, VoIP phone calls can be easily accessed as the activation procedures are simple and easy. Moreover, most of the VoIP service providers have a customised panel for creating and managing accounts. There is also an online billing panel and customised dialler panel.
Its services has forced people and organisations to use the technology to excel in their business and personal lives. Users find this technology very useful for prospering in their business. The reason is that the technology is very efficient and has services such as automatic redial, call forwarding, caller ID, 3-way calling and call blocking helping users in every way. These options has brought in lot of applauds from customers worldwide. People find the technology one great means to connect effortless with others.

VoIP Phone Calls - Crushing Down on Phone Bills
The VoIP phone has redefined telephony as it is a single means to make cheap phone calls to international clients. The technology is based on a digital system and users are not confronted with any hidden charges.
The VoIP telephony is no doubt a good means to connect to people living at any part of the world at reasonable cheap cost rates. This phone helps reduce the charges involved in making calls. Long distant calls can now be made at a very low service charge. The convenience of making calls is also heightened with this digital technology. The user just needs internet connection and tools such as desktop computers or laptops to avail the VoIP phone service.
The method of establishing connection in case of VoIP phone is very simple. The analog voice is compressed to digital formats and then the message is sent in digital packets over the internet. The digital form of radio voice packets are then reconverted to anolog form once it reaches the end user. This is why the user can retrieve the voice in its original form. The conversion is very easily done by the aid of an adaptor that remains fitted on the computers. The digital technology has revolutionised the way we connect to others. Now, there is no more the need of long drawn wires as the technology deployed is sophisticated and modern. Moreover, the telephony connects at local call rates and the user can make international calls at the same cost of local calls.
As the users of VoIP phone remain gratified with the services and low cost rate of VoIP Calls, it is extremely appealing to people to connect by means of VoIP Phone calls. The service sometimes also comes with exclusive offers such as money back deals. Such deals attract more people to access the services of Voice over IP. There are also other features of the service that enable people to make VoIP calls from mobile phones and laptops too. It allows the people to connect with people even if the user is on a move. This makes VoIP phone, interactive and mobile to users.
The monthly bills also gets reduced with VoIP Phone calls. The ease of making payments is also appealing to users. One can easily pay the bills with debit or credit cards. The users of VoIP service do not have to pay for any hidden charges. It helps develop commitment of people toward the technology. Moreover, its user-friendliness compels people to avail the services. The best part of the service is that it is available at nominal calls rates. The user also can share files and chat with people while making calls to them. This modern system of telephony is now replacing traditional form of call making.

How to Record VoIP Phone Calls Using an IP Phone
Record VoIP Phone Calls Using an IP Phone
There are two options available if you want to record VoIP Phone Calls using an IP Phone:
Option 1 Run Axon Virtual PBX and the VRS Voice Recording System together from your network (highly recommended).
Option 2 Run either the VRS Voice Recording System or the TRx Call Recording System from a computer connected to your IP Phone via a call recording adapter.
Option 1
Setup Instructions
Install Axon on your network's server machine.
Install VRS on your network's server machine.
In VRS, go to the Settings dialog and click the "Devices" tab. Under the "Virtual Audio Sources (VoIP)" section, add a new VoIP recording line, specifying a name, access code (password), plus the recording destination folder. Click OK, then back in the "Devices" tab, ensure that "Run Server on TCP/IP Port" is set to 4080.
Plug your IP phone into a spare port on your network and power it up.
Nominate an extension number in Axon that you would like to assign to your IP phone and configure the phone with the appropriate extension username, password and proxy server details. If you do not know what details to configure, click "Setup Instructions" for that line in the Axon web panel Extensions section.
In Axon you should have setup an external line to map to the extension number configured into the IP phone. You can do this now if you haven't done so already. Once this is done, you need to setup recording on the external line if you want to record incoming calls, and the extension line if you want to record outgoing calls. For both the external and internal lines, you can click on the lines in the Axon web panel to access their properties.
The setup for both scenarios is as follows:
Under the "Call Recorder" section in the line properties, click on "Click here to set the Recorder Settings".
Set the "VRS Host Name" to "localhost:4080" and the "VRS Access Code" to the password you used when creating the VoIP recording line in VRS previously.
Save the changes.
Then back in the line properties check the box "Record Incoming Calls" if you are editing an external line, and "Record Outgoing Calls" if you are editing an extension line.
Save the changes here.
You can now make calls through your IP phone and VRS will record all conversations.
Advantages with this setup
The recording mechanism is controlled centrally, thus administrators have complete control over the recording of conversations on their network.
Disadvantages with this setup
The phone calls are tapped in the middle of the line and not at one end, therefore the act of recording may introduce some delay into the conversation. If VRS is installed, for example, on the same network as one of the parties, then the effect will be minimised. But if it is installed on a third party network in a different country, then the effect will be more noticeable.
Recommendations
This setup is suitable for those who have IP phones rolled out on their network and would find it difficult to change to a softphone/USB phone solution. Administrators who are willing to compromise a certain amount of phone call quality for the benefit of having full control over the call recordings should consider this option.
Option 2
Setup Instructions
Install VRS or TRx on any Windows computer, it can be part of a network or it can have a direct connection to the Internet.
Plug your IP phone into a spare network port physically near the VRS/TRx computer and power it up.
Connect the Call Recording Adapter between the handset and base of the IP phone and then plug it into the Microphone socket of the VRS/TRx computer's sound card.
3a. If using VRS, in VRS go to the Settings dialog and click the "Devices" tab. Under the "Record Channels" section, add a new recording line. Give it a name, and set the record device to the sound card into which you plugged the adapter, and set the record input to "Microphone". The other options there can be changed as desired or left as-is.
3b. If using TRx, in TRx go to the Settings dialog and click the "Devices" tab. Select the option "Record using a Sound Card with Phone Adapter", and set the record device to the sound card into which you plugged the adapter, and set the record input to "Microphone". The other options there can be changed as desired or left as-is.
You can now make calls through your IP phone and VRS/TRx will record all conversations.
Advantages with this setup
The phone calls are tapped at one end of the line, therefore the act of recording has little to no impact on the quality of the audio.
Disadvantages with this setup
The recording mechanism is not controlled centrally, thus anyone using the computer connected to the IP phone has the power to turn off the recording manually. Administrators wanting complete control over the recording of conversations on their network may not liking giving this power into the hands of the network users.
Recommendations
This setup is suitable for those who either have already purchased handset-based call recording adapters or who prefer users of the IP phones be "tethered" to a computer in order to make phone calls. Administrators who are fussy about maintaining optimal phone call quality and who can trust that users will not modify the recording settings in VRS/TRx should consider this option.

VoIP Phone Calls Coming To iPhone ?
Blognation has reported today that Truphone, a London-based startup, is working on a voIP client for the Apple iPhone that will allows users to make affordable international phone calls.
Truphone is a beta-stage service that currently offers mobile phone users free calls via wi-fi and 3G by routing calls over the internet rather than through a traditional mobile operator. Users can also send text messages to other Truphone users free of charge.
The iPhone client is hardly ready for release, as Oliver Starr, who witnessed a call made through the client, mentions that “it currently requires the use of terminal on the iPhone to tell the iPhone to use its on-board SIP stack to place the call over WiFi instead of via the SIM card.” Although it is still unfinished, Truphone looks to have a very promising service for iPhone users who are ready to save after the expensive phone purchase.
Truphone has stated that it must still simplify the activation and add the ability for the client to seamlessly switch back and forth between VoIP use and SIM card use when necessary.
It is exciting to hear that VoIP is spreading into the mobile market, because up until now there have been very few choices as far as mobile providers and the per-minute charges for these services can run quite high. With a mix of mobile minutes and VoIP, mobile phone users can talk longer and save money, while still not going over their monthly minute quota.
Although Skype offers mobile features, they are limited to Windows Mobile and Nokia N800 users. Despite this, there are alternative options that can help give the iPhone the VoIP capability of Skype, including SoonR Talk and Shape Services' Skype for iPhone. You may find the SoonR method using up some of your SkypeOut credits, however, as it does not provide a 100% Skype-to-Skype phone call.
Maybe now that Truphone has a client for iPhone in the works, we will soon see one from Skype. Wishful thinking?
